champion! Phil Ivey Wins $1 Million in Triton

Always be vigilant! That’s how Phil Ivey lives in every major tournament, and now he’s won his fourth title in the Triton Series of Poker. The clock struck at the

JW Marriott Hotel Grosvenor in London on Monday at 1am as the $126,000 NLH Turbo cost a $3,660,000 pot 61 entries.

While the halls were still buzzing with the euphoria of the Luxon Invitational and all eyes were focused on the Main Event across the room, Ivey posed in another champion’s photo that left him with a $1,007,000 prize after defeating heads-up Cary Katz, who took home $715,500 when he came out runner-up.

“I feel good, it’s always nice to win one of these tournaments. I love these Triton ones. When it’s over, I’ll have to go home I guess and wait for the next Triton,” said Ivey, true to form.

The American crack now surpasses $8.5 million in winnings in this series and $40 million in lifetime earnings. These are more than enough credentials to continue to be ranked as one of the best players of all time.

On the other hand, the Latin Armada was not left behind and continues with a good performance in these Triton Series. Brazilian Rodrigo Selouan managed to get into the final table to claim a prize of US$360,000 thanks to his fourth place.
